Citrus Arcobal, Orange

Remarks: Citrus Arcobal, Orange is a very attractive citrus that comes from a crossing of Citrus meyeri x Citrus sinensis doppio sanguigno. It bears very special striped fruits and blooms with wonderful white fragrant flowers in the spring. This beautiful Citrus is suitable for a greenhouse or outside, this species does not tolerate temperatures below 5 degrees.

The Citrus Arcobal that we ship does not yet bear fruit. The Citrus will flower in the spring and start to form fruits.

Leaf: Leaves reach a length of 10 to 15 cm

Fruit: Fruits reach a size of 7 to 12 cm.

Height including pot approx. 70 cm.

The Citrus prefers a place with full sun. They have a strong preference for nutritious soil that contains sufficient lime, preferably clay or loamy soil. Sufficient moisture is necessary during the growth period. In winter, the soil must drain easily. If you give the Citrus sufficient nitrogen-containing fertilizer and an organic fertilizer (for example Plantgrow or dried cow manure) in the early spring, you will get a beautiful fast-growing Citrus.

The cradle of all citrus species is in Asia and archaeological evidence for the cultivation of citrus fruit dates back to 2100 BC. The knobbly candied lemon is the most unknown of the three original citruses, but it is nevertheless the first citrus fruit to reach the Middle East and the Mediterranean region. The Orange was introduced to Europe by the Portuguese in the 16th century. The mandarin came in 1805. The trees only grow in warm countries, such as Spain, Morocco, Greece and Italy. Citrus is also grown as a container plant in the Netherlands.

Citrus Arcobal has been selected by Matthijs Hazeleger for Nelumbogarden.

Shipping times may differ due to the large quantity of orders and weather conditions. During the cold months we send our plants with a Heat Pack if needed. We keep a close eye on the weather forecasts.

Due to the large quantity of orders, adding plants to existing orders is not possible.

ATTENTION; We pack and ship our plants very carefully, damage to a leaf or discoloration is not covered by the guarantee.

Nelumbogarden packs and ships its plants very carefully. We use sturdy cardboard boxes and pack with kraft paper. It is possible for soil to fall out of the pot or a leaf to break during transport. We do not guarantee these two points. We ask you to open the box carefully and not with a knife or sharp object. Carefully remove the (kraft) paper. Some plants lower their leaves in the dark, these are restored within a few days. Due to changes in the season, the plants may differ from the plant shown in the photo.

Our company does not work with chemical pesticides. We pack our plants in recycled material. We limit the use of plastic to a minimum.
